Keeping up with fashion

Casual Friday doesn't have to mean casual Friday. You can be fashionable with casual clothing. There's nothing wrong for ladies to add a nice blouse or any type of dressy top that can go with jeans or any other casual pants. Color coordination in my way of thing will work perfectly.

For this new year coming, I want to continue to loose more weight and stay more healthy. I achieved my resolution for this year and want to continue to the next level. I want to make my blog more interresting so that I can get more visitors.

I've been an avid book reader for several years. I love the book selections that the Elle and Nylon magazines mention in their monthly issues. Reading a good book can bring peace of mind, creation and imagery to everyday life. Always pick a book to read monthly, write a summery about and share it with friends. Below are a few books I've recently bought and read.

I never been much of a sunglasses type of person but when I drive to work in the morning lots of times, I do experience glares. The best sunglasses I've had was from Raybans and fossil. I tried the Louis Vuitton but really don't feel like paying $800 for a pair. I love my Raybans that I paid $150 (on sale) for and my Fossil which I paid $49 for. I've always been a fanatic of plaids especially to wear in the Fall and Winter. To me dark and light plaid colors really bring out the plaid designs. I always loved green, brown and red plaid colors for a skirt and top. Shown below is my plaid skirt I bought at Talbots which I consider my favorite. My turtleneck is from Macy's which cost me $10 which was a great bargain since I paid $118 for the skirt. The necklace is from jewelmint.com which to me is a perfect match.

After getting rid of old clothes that are too big for me due to my weight loss it's now time to really upgrade my Fall wardrobe. My favorite fall color is Turquoise, orange and brown.  To top off a great outfit, I always wear a necklace that matches along with a scarf.  Great places to buy costume jewelry can be the Icing, Claire's Boutique or you can go online at www.jewelmint.com. I love my new coach bag! I just love all of the varieties of styles that coach offers. I had to buy this blue/navy color which is a great color for the fall. It's a nice size for what I need I put inside.

I'm usually a matchy person when it comes to clothing. After I did some minor shopping at New York & Company this weekend, I came across a scarf from the new Eva Mendes collection and fell in love with it. At $23 for the scarf, I wouldn't leave it in the store. I bought her scarf which matched a top that I bought from NY & Co a few months earlier and it went well together. I added my Kenneth Cole purse that matched well with the scarf and skirt. I even tried my free sample of the Guerlain Le petite robe noir or should I say the Little Black Dress. It's smelled great on me and will invest in buying it in the near future.

I just bought this perfume and live it! It has a flowery mellow smell that works with my body chemistry. The body lotion brings out the smell even more. At $89 including the small bottle of body lotion and a small free sample of the perfume itself from Macy's, I wouldn't pass a deal like this.

Lunch and break times can be fun when bring music and fashion magazine with you. I always bring at least two fashion magazine with me to work in order to see what I can buy next or just get some ideas for the future.

Fall is coming and I love fall colors such as deep orange, browns and dark beiges. When choosing apparel for the fall refer to the Instyle magazine for ideas. My favorite so far is the Essie nail polish. I usually paint my toe nails and use colors that match what I wear.  Not much into painting my finger nails but to me I make sure that my feet are well pedicured and that my nails are painted very well. www.essie.com Good colors to match what you're wearing.

If possible, always check for ideas on how to dress and wear certain outfits. Just because it zips or bottoms up doesn't mean it fits or looks good. You can look in fashion magazine of check with someone at a clothing store while trying them on. My personal favorite fashion ideas come from Vogue, Elle, Cosmopolitan, Nylon, Allure, Vanity Fair and Essence magazines. Music, fashion and some type of fashion magazine goes together very well. In my case it gets me in the mood for some good exercise, dancing or a stylish feeling especially flipping through a few magazine while listening to music (depending on what type of music).

PWhen picking out your outfits for the next on a professional fashionable level, always coordinate colors, hues, material etc. Your clothes don't have to match so much but don't make the colors too busy.

I usually don't buy Eau de Toilette but this particular one has listed on my body for more than a day. But I would recommend to get a free sample of some Eau de Toilette perfumes before purchasing because it's no use of buying fragrances that don't last especially when you pay a small fortune for them.

Be care when buying smart phone skins. Always make sure that you can get them off without damaging the phone. I had to go to the apple store for a rep to take mine off. The best thing to do is get the softcovers. If you have an iPhone 4 or 5 the Fossil store has beautiful softcover designs along with Walgreens, Best buy and Five Below. If you want a safe hardcover, I myself purchased a case for Kate Spade, Michael Kors and New York & Company. As for the Samsung series smart phones, Walgreens and Best buy has the best cases. Now since I lost over 40lbs, I've been enjoying dressing up for work. I haven't shopped in gowns stores since the late 90's and it really feels great when you can buy clothing that can fit and enhance your image. But I do have to remember that fashion comes in all sizes and that a person has to buy apparel that enhance your body.

Anytime you would like to test on what the best perfumes are, try free samples. At Nordstroms you can get free perfume samples on Saturdays. Any fragrance that last all day and if you like the smell, I would invest in buying it. Don't forget all perfumes don't work on everyone since everybody's body chemistry is different.

Whenever you need advise on what to wear to work, going out or other doing other activities, I always check out Instyle magazine, Nylon, Vogue, Cosmopolitan and Elle. I always get many ideas in what to wear on lots of occasions that I attend. I also check out the exercise tips which has helped me loose weight.

I do have a fetish for purses and other leather bags. I try to buy purses that match what I wear, mainly leather. I really would love to become a fashion blogger. My Coach bag Fossil Bag

Well for the past two years I've been trying to keep up with all the new fashion trends like purses, clothes, shoes, eyewere, ect. I'm so happy to see my former co-worker Stuart White designing his own sun glasses. Maybe I should start fashion blogs but I have a lot learn. Within the past two years I've started subscribing to some of the fashion magazines so that I can get iddeas on how to dress very professional for work and other occasions. My favorite magazines are Vogue, Elle, Nylon and Instyle. Not to mention my favorite fashion movies are Pret a Porter and The Devil Wears Prada. In addition I do have a fetish for purses, shoes, watches, Perfumes and scarves in which I accomplished purchasing for the past few years. My favorite desingers so far are Tommy Hilfiger, Marc Jacobs, Donna Karan, Anna Sui, Michael Kors and list goes on. The good thing is that I've lost about 30lbs and counting trying to shop for clothes at some of these designers but I will not starv
